The final stage brings the Tour back to Paris with a finish that is now more open than a simple sprinters’ parade. The côte du Pavé des Gardes and the three climbs of the Butte Montmartre can sharpen the race before the return to the Champs-Élysées. Sprinters will still have a chance, but they will have to deal with attackers and teams determined to end the edition with a flourish. Until the final lap, Paris will keep a measure of uncertainty.
