Between Saint-Chamond and Parc des Oiseaux - Villars-les-Dombes, the 195.8 km route gives sprinters their best window. The opening remains rolling, but the second half becomes much more favourable to a regrouping. Before the Alps, this is probably the last clear opportunity for the fast finishers.
